Lily Kassab grew up in Damascus and left Syria in 2011 to see the wider world; painting became her way of making sense of all that changed. A self-described doodler and dreamer, she paints bold, vibrant figures shaped by hope and by the stories of the people she meets — in her studio, out in the field, morning to night.
